Super Worms
Zophobas morio - The larval stage of a darling beetle. Super worms are very lively and provide exciting food for lizards, turtles, frogs and birds.
Super Worms

These worms resemble a very large meal worm but are actually a different species and cannot be refrigerated. They can withstand heat up to about 90F but will die in the refrigerator.
Their size is approximately 1.5-2.0″ long
Super worms should be kept at room temperature (65-75F). Bulk super worms should be transferred to a larger container for keeping.
The super worms are packed in a bedding of oat bran for food. A slice of potato can be added for moisture. Check the food periodically and add more bran as needed.
The worms will stay in the larval stage as long as they are kept together with other super worms.
